My name is Ally! and I am a raised New Yorker (although you'll hear no accent). I studied Fashion Marketing and Management at The Berkeley College of NY as well as Journalism at the famed City College of New York.

Created in 2019, The Girl Loves Magic is not only for the theme park lovers, the folks who love NYC, & the kiddos who love magic but is primarily a Plus-Size style site that helps you figure out how to style yourself like your favorite Disney characters as well as curate outfits that have Disney flair outside of the parks. Keep this in mind as you search through the site this is a safe space for anyone who loves fashion and Disney, those who want to know about theme parks & so much more!

In 2020 after some health concerns left me with no choice but to lose a considerable amount of weight I now include Midsize clothing and styles on the blog as I am no longer considered Plus Size in most markets. My style changed a bit because of the size change as well. Never fear though this is still an absolutely safe space for everyone of all sizes.

In 2023 after the death of my mother I decided to shift the focus of the blog a bit and have now turned it into more of a lifestyle website that also gets pretty personal. I’ve found that in my newsletters I’ve gotten to open up so much more than anywhere else and I’d like to change that. I’ve always believed this blog was so much more than style & travel that the brand was always…me. I’m the brand and i’d be a fool to not be more open with everyone about my life.

Other aspects of the site include my traveling adventures (check my various galleries for some really great memories), beauty & fashion as well as the many style challenges I do over on my Instagram (if you don’t follow why don’t you change that?).
